Greg is the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) industry leader for PwC Singapore and Technology industry leader for the Asia Pacific region.

With significant overseas and regional experience having been based previously in London, Sydney and Tokyo, Greg has extensive experience providing audit and advisory services to TMT companies globally.

He has lead market studies for the MDA on the future of TV and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) revenue report sizing the Singapore online advertising market, and currently heads up PwC’s global entertainment and media industry outlook launch in Singapore.

 

Mark Strecker, Chief Operating Officer, [a•mo•bee]

Prior to [a•mo•bee], Mark was VP of Solutions at Cellmania (acquired by RIM), a leading mobile content platform provider, where he focused on market development and account management relationships with mobile operators and strategic partners worldwide.

Mark has been instrumental in building successful start up companies, serving as the VP of Business Development and founding team member of MSX (acquired by Cellmania in January 2008), and co-founder of Convade, a rich media content management solution provider.

His previous positions include: Director of e-Business and Strategy at Seagate Technology and Management Consultant with Arthur D. Little where he helped Orange and American Express develop their mobile phone strategies.

 

Greg Williams, Co-Founder, SVP OPEN Partnerships

In this role, Greg creates business and technology relationships with partners and oversees MediaMath’s OPEN Partnership program.

Having focused his career at the intersection of marketing and technology, Greg is an expert in automation and large-scale technology offerings. Leveraging his unique blend of business and technical skills, Greg works with clients and with data and inventory partners across media channels to help them build their businesses on MediaMath’s TerminalOne platform.

Before MediaMath Greg led advertiser media strategy at [x+1]. Prior to this Greg’s background was in econometric data modeling, marketing strategy, and integration of marketing platforms for Fortune 500 companies at Nielsen and Accenture.

 

Bharad Ramesh, Head of Trading, South East Asia, VivaKi

Bharad Ramesh VivaKi (2) resizedBharad has over 14 years of experience in telecom consulting, media research, tactical planning, and media buying across India, the U.S, China, and the wider ASEAN region.

He currently oversees all aspects of VivaKi’s media investments and operations in South East Asia, including management and delivery of regional clients buying performance across the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining VivaKi, he was Deputy Leader at Mindshare Singapore, managing agency operations, trading, and key regional clients including GSK & Aviva. Before moving to Singapore, Bharad was in Mindshare China where he was National Tactical Planning Director. Bharad's background also includes a stint in the US as an emerging media & telecom analyst at Frost & Sullivan & Jack Myers Inc.

 

Matt Harty, GM, APAC, Accuen

He started his career in the Internet in 1997 as the co-founder and employee #1 for SpaceAsia Media, the first Pan-Asian ad network founded in Asia. SpaceAsia sold in 2000 to Engage Inc (CMGi) with Matt staying on after the sale.

In 2003 Matt founded Activ8 Worldwide as a JV with Outblaze Ltd which handled global media sales for Mail.com, Sanrio Digital (Hello Kitty) plus a number of other leading brands. Later Matt took a board director's seat on the Malaysia-listed Oriented Media Group Berhad.

In 2009 Matt moved to News Corporation's .FOX Networks as VP for Asia Pacific and Middle East. Now the APAC GM of Omnicom Media Group’s Accuen (the trading desk), Matt oversees the roll out of data-backed programmatic buying for many leading brands across the region.

 

Sammy Elazab, Country MD – Singapore, Effective Measure

Armed with a strong global digital media pedigree, Sammy joined EffectiveMeasure from Tribal Fusion, a division of Exponential Interactive where he was Digital Sales Manager across the South East Asia region.

Prior to that he was based in the UK where he was most recently the Online Partnership Manager at carrier in emerging marketsO2 Telefónica UK and held previous roles at AOL Advertising.

 

Barry Adams, General Manager, Digital Innovation Group, Experian

Barry Adams - experian_resizedBarry is an Asia-based Interactive Marketing and CRM executive who's passionate about generating business value from data.

He has over 16 years’ experience developing and executing strategic marketing and CRM initiatives ranging from the implementation of large-scale cross-channel marketing platforms, to customer acquisition and retention programs, data analytics projects, and the development of strategic data partnerships covering markets across Asia.

Barry has worked with many of the world's leading brands in the Retail, Financial Services, Luxury, Media, Automotive and Technology sectors. He currently leads Experian’s Digital Innovation Group across Asia.

 

Phil Duffield, Managing Director, Adap.tv

His focus since joining has been overseeing Adap.tv’s growth in Australia and across South East Asia, building the brand’s presence.

Trent Lloyd, Co-Founder & Global Head of Marketplace, eyeota

Trent-Lloyd-150x200resizedTrent is one of the founding partners of eyeota. Based in Sydney, Australia Trent heads up the Eyeota Marketplace across the globe. Along with select markets in Europe, Australia has been a key market for eyeota since launching their platform and Data Marketplace in 2012. Over the last 18 months eyeota have established themselves as leaders in third party data throughout the region, working with publishers to help them understand and generate revenues from their data, and with buyers to help them access and use the data.

Before co-founding eyeota, Trent set up Adify in Australia in 2009, working with a range of clients from entrepreneurs to the largest media companies to help them build and manage targeted, vertical ad networks.

Prior to Adify, Trent had an 11-year career at Fairfax, the largest Australian media company, where he was Sales Director, Fairfax Digital. Prior to this, Trent headed up sales for the Fairfax Magazines division and also managed agency sales teams across metropolitan newspapers.

 

Phillip Cowlishaw, Performance Media Director, Ikon Communications

Integrating top technology with world class experts in performance based media these teams have been successfully integrated into Ikon’s clients teams, communication process and effectiveness philosophy.

Prior to joining Ikon, Phil spent a number of years driving the media offering for one of the UK’s leading independent full service digital agency Blue Barracuda. It was here that he developed and grew the online ad exchange team and understanding that has been of paramount importance to his role at Ikon when developing the Australian ad exchange business for that revolutionised how many clients trade their advertising dollars.

Phil has been responsible for delivering Performance Media campaigns for a number of clients including: Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Vodafone, Yum Brands, British Airport Authority, Nectar Loyalty and ITV.

Matt Von der Muhll, Regional Director APAC, SpotXchange

He began his career in the tech industry as an analyst at a startup venture capital firm that invested in early stage technology companies.

Matt has worked with CC Media (who specialise in distribution of retail catalogues online) where he assisted with the design and build of a specialist ad network, that later launched as the Inc Network.

From there, Matt went on to work with Adconion Media Group where he helped drive the Media side strategy in AU, growing the Publisher base, through to building its first video products for APAC.

 

Phu Truong, Director SEA, TubeMogul

Phu Truong (2)_resizedPhu is Director for Asia-Pacific for TubeMogul, the leading media buying platform for video. He is responsible for growing the overallTubeMogul business across Asia.

His career in digital has spanned over fourteen years across various senior roles at startups and multinationals, including CNBC and The Wall Street Journal. His most recent role was Vice President, Commercial and Operations at BBC.com.

Phu holds degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and Boston University. He has worked across three continents - the US, Europe and Asia and is currently based in Singapore.

 

Subra Krishnan, AVP – Product and Strategic Initiatives, Vizury

Subra_resizedSubra heads up products at Vizury. He also built Vizury's international businesses in LatAm, Japan and Poland.

Prior to Vizury, Subra was with Austin-based Trilogy where he helped establish their telecom business in India.

Before Trilogy, Subra worked in the software research arm of DaimlerChrysler AG (now Mercedes-Benz) and consulted with various divisions in Bangalore, Berlin and Ulm.

He has an undergraduate degree in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani and a MBA from the Indian School of Business.

 

Robbie Hills, Head of Media Technology Solutions for China, SEA & India, Google

RH Headshot May2011gif_resizedRobbie Hills is recognized as one of the region’s most authoritative digital marketing experts. He is currently heading up Media Technology Solutions for China, South East Asia and India. He joined Google as Head of Rich Media Asia Pacific in February 2011.
Before joining Google he was the General Manager of RockYou APAC. RockYou is the leading innovator, creator, and distributor of content on the social web.

Prior to RockYou he was the CEO of WPP’s Group M Search business across the Asia Pacific region and before that was managing director of WPP owned 24/7 Real Media in Australia, the regions largest search marketing company at the time.
His 15-year career in online sales and marketing has included a number of milestones, including the Australian launch of Sensis MediaSmart’s web search solutions across its portfolio of online products, including Sensis and Telstra BigPond.

Before Sensis, Robbie worked at LookSmart Australia where he developed and launched LookListings, Australia’s first pay for performance search marketing network. Robbie began his sales career in magazine publishing at Pacific Publications.

Robbie is a regular speaker on Digital Marketing at conferences across the region including; Ad:Tech Australia, China, India and Singapore, iStrategy, imedia Australia and Asia, SES China, Search Marketing Expo (SMX) China, Singapore and Australia and AIMIA.

Gilles Boitard, Strategic Partner Leader, Partner Business Solutions – SEA, Google

Gilles is a true "digital native" who started his professional career by participating in the launch and international expansion of EasyRoommate.com, a highly successful roommate matching service in New York, NY.

Gilles then joined Yahoo! Inc. where he managed the French Display Industry Sales Team, before heading Yahoo! New Business Development activities during which he successfully launched the Yahoo! Display Network. After Yahoo!, Gilles took various consulting and managing director assignments across Europe to reshape B2C/B2B ecommerce & Travel strategies.

Before joining Google, Gilles was entrepreneur-in-residence & Director of RBI Lead Gen, B2B lead generation division of Reed Business Information.

At Google, Gilles is leading partnerships in the fields of Publisher Advertising, Monetisation and Digital Strategy across Southeast Asia.

 

Grace Huang, Founder and CEO, iPinYou
Grace_Huang-iPinYou_resizedAs a branding and marketing expert, Grace is one of the pioneers that first brought Behavioral Targeting, RTB and DSP concepts to the Chinese market.

Grace has over 15 years of experience in brand marketing and advertising.

Before founding iPinYou in 2008, Grace started her career at P&G in the Marketing Department and later at McKinsey as an Engagement Manager focusing on marketing practice.

She holds her MBA degree from UCLA Business School, and obtained BA degrees in both legal and literature from Peking University.

 

Matt Sutton, Managing Director for Komli Engage

Although in his early 30's he is considered a media "old hand" with over 10 Years of APAC experience spanning print, press, outdoor and of course, digital.

 

Samir Shergill, Senior Director, APAC Expansion, AppNexus

Samir Shergill (2)_ resizedSamir heads the APAC expansion efforts for AppNexus, which offers the industry’s most powerful, open and customizable advertising technology platform.   In this capacity, he is responsible for developing the high-level strategic goals as AppNexus grows its business in APAC, as well as business execution in that region.

Prior to joining AppNexus, Samir was an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in New York where he served clients across multiple industries on technology and IT issues with a focus on organizational transformation and optimizing infrastructure.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Samir worked for Microsoft Corporation as a Lead Software Design Engineer where he led a team responsible for identifying and delivering efficiency increases in the software development infrastructure of the Developer Division, one of Microsoft’s largest divisions.

Samir has a B.E.Sc with highest honors in Computer Engineering from the

University of Western Ontario, as well as an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

 

Wendy Hogan, VP & MD, CBS Interactive Asia Pacific

Wendy is responsible for the APAC growth and development of CBSi global brands such as CNET, ZDNet, and GameSpot. CBSi influences over 100 million readers across APAC every month.

Based in Singapore since 2010, Wendy has worked in digital media for almost fifteen years. During this time, Wendy has developed knowledge and expertise in media, marketing, technology and advertising. Responsible for teams in both Sydney and Singapore, Wendy is currently focused on talent development and business re-engineering.

Having worked in tech media for more than a decade, Wendy loves playing with new gadgets, ecommerce, social discovery and great content in any format.

Wendy is an active member of the industry and is currently serving as Chairperson of IAB South East Asia, Singapore chapter.

 

Rick Mulia, VP Media and Advertising Solutions, Wego.com

He started his digital career in Singapore with stints at local and global interactive agencies working on a mix of regional and international clients from Singapore Tourism Board, Asia Pacific Breweries, Singtel Mobile to Nokia.

In 1998 he moved to Yahoo! Southeast Asia, the third employee for the Singapore outpost. There began an eight year journey in various roles with Yahoo! from production, search, and operations across Southeast Asia.

In 2007 Rick returned to Singapore, this time with Microsoft to rebuild the MSN business across Southeast Asia which culminated in the formation of XINMSN, the portal partnership between Microsoft and MediaCorp and PlasaMSN - a collaboration between Microsoft and Telkom Indonesia.

In April, Rick joined Wego, Asia’s leading travel metasearch engine to head up their Media and Advertising Solutions business. In this role, Rick’s main responsibility is to implement and monetise Wego’s next generation Ad technology which will integrate and leverage the RTB ad eco-system.

 

Dylan McBride, Director of Publisher Development – Australia, PubMatic

Dylan_resizedDylan McBride is the Director of Publisher Development in Australia and New Zealand for PubMatic, a digital media platform that helps premium publishers increase their advertising revenue to maximize the value of their advertising assets across all screens. He is responsible for developing and implementing data and programmatic advertising strategies for publishers in the region.

Dylan joined Pubmatic's Sydney office in 2012 from New York where he was responsible for overseeing operations for the company's highest revenue clients.

Prior to PubMatic, Dylan was with Microsoft Advertising working with agencies and direct advertisers on the Bing search platform for clients such as Disney,Monster.com, Hartford Insurance and The Home Depot.

 

Mikko Kotila, CEO, mediaQuark

Over the last 18 years Mikko has worked in digital, data and analytics - developing cutting edge enterprise products for web analytics, search marketing, behavioral targeting and algorithmic media trading. During his online career, Mikko has worked together with many of the world's largest advertisers and agencies.

Residing in Asia for the last 10 years, Mikko speaks at most major digital marketing events including iMedia, ad:tech, SES and I-COM and is passionate about making media markets more transparent and effective.

 

Julian Tol, Founder & CEO, Brandscreen

julian (2)_resizedJulian is an energetic, visionary entrepreneur who developed his career in major media and advertising agencies including Omnicom, Interpublic & WPP from 1987 to 1993. In 1994, he founded one of Europe’s first digital agencies 'Campaign Centre', which exited to Publicis in 1999.

As CEO of Publicis Mundocom from 1999 to 2003, Julian led transformation of the company from a mid-sized multi-country print group into a profitable, digital agency group. He founded one of Europe’s first LASIK clinics - FreeVision in 2003, which exited to Optical Express in 2005.

Julian has deep agency leadership and ad technology credentials including the development of well-known industry tools such as Nike OrderPoint and Airline World Mapping System. He understood the early opportunities presented by automated media trading, and identified RTB as the system to invest behind.

In October 2012, BRANDSCREEN completed a US$12mm Series B funding round led by Macquarie Capital, SingTel Innov8 and SXVP, which will drive growth of the company across the APAC region.

 

Shobhit Shukla, VP – Asia Pacific, AdNear

Shobit_resizedShobhit currently runs AdNear’s Asia business.

AdNear is the leading location-aware mobile advertising platform in APAC and uses location, context and behavior to bring superior targeting elements to mobile advertising.

Prior to AdNear, Shobhit worked with InMobi driving publisher partnerships and alliances across South East Asia, Greater China, India and Australia.

Shobhit also worked with Qualcomm Ventures and Morgan Stanley on the investment side and ran his own events company before venturing completely into the mobile space.

 

Blanca Menchaca, VP Online Marketing, Wego

Blanca_resizedBlanca joined Wego.com, the leading travel metasearch site in the Asia Pacific and Middle East, in 2010.

She has since been devoted to establishing a solid and proactive approach to exponential business growth through performance marketing.

As a result of her successful achievements within Wego, Blanca recently was appointed Vice President Online Marketing, leading the company’s global media purchasing strategies. Her role encompasses the management of a variety of digital teams (SEM, Ad Trading, Social, Design) across South East Asia, India and the Middle East regions.

Prior to joining Wego, Blanca serviced a variety of digital clients within the Internet arm of The Photon Group (now Enero) in Sydney, Australia. She also held various marketing roles over several years from Market Research to SEO Consulting in Mexico, Australia and Singapore.

Blanca is a well studied individual, with a MA of International Business and BA in Commerce Marketing from Macquarie University in Sydney and is currently undertaking Global Management Studies at INSEAD in Singapore. She is often invited to speak and present at digital media and travel industry events.

 

Michihiko Suganum, Senior General Manager, e-Business Group, D.A.Consortium Inc.

Michi_resizedMichi is a General Manager for the Strategic Technology Development department of D.A.Consortium Inc. (DAC) that is the leading media representative for online advertising, providing total support for planning and buying internet advertising in the Japanese market.

In his role, Michi specializes in Global Business Development, largely focused on identifying and partnering with international ad tech companies for strategic introduction to the Japanese market. To date, Michi has managed more than 10 technology partnerships, including global RTB tech solutions leader, IPONWEB.

He is also involved in establishing Joint Venture initiatives, serving as a board member for IPONWEB Japan and currently working on various Social Media related technologies, Online Video technologies and other tech initiatives.

 

Carl Costa, GM & Managing Director APAC, StrikeAd

Carl Costa_resizedCarl is responsible for managing operations across Asia Pacific for StrikeAd Mobile DSP.

Carl is a mobile veteran with 10 years' experience in the mobile space and was previously VP at Enpocket, successfully building the business, and eventually selling to Nokia (now NAVTEQ).

He was a founding member and MD at mobile games advertising network MAS/123play.com now known as 24MAS, and is an angel investor and board advisor at music and social gaming business, SongHi Entertainment.

He has worked with clients across the globe and has extensive mobile knowledge and experience in the APAC region.
