Tech-based health and beauty products will be among the most popular purchases this winter retail season, according to data from Taboola’s marketing-commerce retail platform Connexity.
Gadgets such as AI fitness mirrors, LED face masks, and sonic toothbrushes have experienced a huge increase in sales throughout the year to date, as consumers increasingly invest in professional-grade beauty and health treatments at home.
Between January and October 2025, commission generated by AI Fitness Mirrors rose 309%, while the figure for Sonic Toothbrushes was 1,879%.

These sales trends highlight the UK’s growing interest in at-home health and beauty, which is also reflected in increased news and social media coverage of the health and beauty tech sectors. Data collected from Taboola’s network of UK publishers shows that pageviews for articles about “smart mirrors” over the last three months increased by more than 400% compared to the same period in 2024.
"Health, beauty and tech have always been a key product category for ecommerce during the busy shopping season," said Angus Quinn, director of marketing for EMEA & APAC, Connexity. "This year, however, we’ve seen a marked rise in interest for tech-based wellbeing, as more consumers look to improve their health and lifestyle through convenient, tech-driven products."
Getting a good night’s sleep will also be top on shoppers’ agendas during the coming retail season. Next generation mattress brands, which use ‘sleep technology’ to promote a healthy night’s rest, have jumped in popularity this year, with mattresses by Simba, Otty, Dusk, Origin all experiencing triple figure sales growth since January.
"The growing demand for premium mattresses, based on sleep science, is just another sign that people are turning to tech this year to support their wellbeing," added Quinn. "As we head into the retail season, ecommerce platforms will be taking note of these recent trends and using them to inform their strategies for the weeks and months to come."
