ExchangeWire - the leading B2B publication for advertising and marketing technology - is looking for an Editor to join its editorial and content team, to write about ad tech, martech and programmatic. This role requires knowledge and understanding of the wide and varied range of tools and technologies currently available in the UK and international markets, relating to advertising and marketing. The role will also be responsible for researching, compiling and editing long- and short-form content, specific to the digital advertising industry, and will therefore require impeccable grammar skills and attention to detail.

The Editor will report to the Head of Content.

This is a full-time role, based in ExchangeWire’s office in Farringdon.

Salary: £35k-£40k

Editor job description:
- Research and aggregate regular daily and weekly content, including newsletters to send to subscribers and regional round-ups published on the site
- Proactively build a pipeline of relevant stories, following the latest trends, as well as providing insight and analysis into various relevant technology tools
- Liaise with PR contacts to commission and vet content pitched to ExchangeWire
- Liaise with Head of Content regarding pieces pitched to ExchangeWire and commission of pieces from industry leaders
- Handle incoming press releases and news items for key news and information to be covered on and forward to relevant internal departments
- Act as a global point of contact for ExchangeWire editorial queries, following up with relevant internal colleagues as appropriate

- Monthly Now & Next feature
- Minimum 10 pieces of content per week (initially), including weekly EMEA roundup, APAC roundup, research roundup and 3 pieces of APAC content
- Weekly catch up with head of content to discuss strategic direction
- Plan and lead any sponsored content agreements with relevant partners
- Devise a content plan, outlining key content themes to focus on over next 3-6 months
- Involvement in content for ExchangeWire, including pro active commissioning and co-authoring of Q&A and thought leadership pieces from industry experts, outside of sponsored content partnerships
- Control of editorial calendar and content planning, to ensure no content overlaps or overexposure of contributors
- Arrange and attend meetings/calls with relevant vendors/brands/agencies/publishers to discuss content pitches
- Ensure editorial integrity across all content on ExchangeWire
- Ensure all content published adheres to guidelines re. tagging, SEO, imagery, keyword labelling and syndication with ExchangeWire
- Investigate additional content opportunities; e.g. contributed features covering industry reports, larger features on key industry topics, earnings reports, etc
- Grow network of advertising and marketing technology contacts via
     -> PR companies
     -> LinkedIn
     -> Events/conferences
     -> Consultancies/agencies
     -> Press releases
     -> Existing advertising and marketing media
