Skyscanner Launches Advertising Platform

Skyscanner is the latest company to announce the launch of an advertising platform. With the new platform, the travel site aims to help its travel partners to reach new audiences in a privacy-centric way. Skyscanner Ads Platform leverages first-party data from its huge travel audience of over 110m global monthly users. Advertisers will have access to Skyscanner Ads Manager which will allow them to plan and manage campaigns, see performance trends and look at market insights, among other features. 

Over 1 Billion Hours of YouTube Content Streamed Daily on TV 

As we approach the end of the year, YouTube has published a 2024 recap for YouTube on TV. The streaming giant revealed that over 1 billion hours of content are streamed daily on TV devices. Looking at specific categories, sports content saw a significant rise, increasing 30% year over year. Interestingly, podcast watching on TVs is also growing massively in popularity: viewers watched over 400 million hours of podcasts monthly through their living room devices. 

Apple Rolls Out ChatGPT Integration 

Apple has finally rolled out the update which integrates OpenAI’s ChatGPT product into Siri and its Writing Tools within iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Users can choose whether to enable the integration. It allows users to access ChatGPT’s capabilities without having to switch between applications. Responses to certain queries will suggest users access ChatGPT directly, however.
