Ogury, the leader in advertising solutions fuelled by exclusive data and grounded in privacy, today announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially approved its near-term, long-term, and net-zero emissions reduction goals. This milestone confirms that Ogury’s targets meet the SBTi’s rigorous criteria and align with the most ambitious objective of the Paris Agreement: limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
The SBTi is a corporate climate action organisation that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. It defines and promotes best practices in emissions reductions and net-zero targets, and develops standards, tools, and guidance to enable organisations to set science-based targets in line with the latest climate science. Ogury’s targets were assessed and approved in accordance with the SBTi’s Corporate Net-Zero Standard — a globally recognised framework for corporate climate action.
As part of this, Ogury has pledged to reach net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain by:
- Reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year.
- Increasing active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 0% in 2023 to 100% by 2030.
- Committing that 77.4% of its suppliers by emissions, covering purchased goods and services and capital goods, will have science-based targets by 2030.
- Reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2023 base year.
- Reducing absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% within the same timeframe.
“Earning SBTi validation is not only a proud moment for Ogury, but also a clear signal of our long-term ambition,” said Cindy Christodoulou, Senior Director at Ogury. “As a pioneer in privacy-first, data-fuelled advertising, we believe innovation must go hand in hand with responsibility. These science-based targets reflect our commitment to measurable climate action and our drive to lead by example — proving that a more sustainable, high-performing digital advertising ecosystem is both possible and necessary.”
Ogury will publicly report on its progress against its SBTi targets annually, reinforcing its dedication to transparency and science-based climate action. This recognition also reflects the company’s broader ambition to support the global transition to a low-carbon economy as it advances on its net-zero journey.
