Relevant Digital’s CEO and partner, Petri Kokkonen, has been appointed co-lead of the IAB Europe Programmatic Working Group, representing IAB Finland. He will serve alongside Ralf Ollig, VP product at Sportradar.
The Programmatic Working Group brings together key stakeholders from across the European digital advertising ecosystem to shape standards, drive research, and address critical industry challenges while supporting the development of a sustainable and evolving programmatic ecosystem in Europe. Kokkonen brings over 20 years of industry experience and has actively contributed to IAB initiatives at both national and European levels.

"I’m really excited to step into this shared role with Ralf, and I know that the whole IAB Finland team shares my enthusiasm. There is so much happening in the programmatic landscape right now, with AI impacting every corner of the ecosystem," said Petri Kokkonen, CEO at Relevant Digital. "We need to do all we can to support companies in navigating these changes and continuing to thrive, whether we’re talking about buyers, sellers, or intermediaries."
The working group’s 2026 agenda includes advancing standardisation efforts, contributing to research on auction mechanics and transparency, and addressing key industry priorities such as sell-side decisioning, curation, and emerging channels.
"In this role, the focus is on advancing industry-wide initiatives, strengthening collaboration, and developing a more transparent and sustainable programmatic ecosystem in Europe. I work with these same themes every day at Relevant Digital and as a board member of IAB Finland. This gives me the opportunity to bring a practical perspective into the discussion, as reducing complexity, improving transparency, and understanding auction dynamics are increasingly shaping how decisions are made across the ecosystem," Kokkonen adds.
