Industry attention has been on TikTok this week, as the US passes a bill which will force ByteDance to either divest the video platform or face a ban. TikTok also made headlines this week with ByteDance reportedly planning to launch a TikTok Photos app. Other US-focused news included Nvidia getting sued over its use of copyrighted material. 

Looking at Europe, the EU has passed the world’s first comprehensive AI law. Meanwhile, tech giants including Apple are making further adjustments to their services in order to comply with the Digital Markets Act. 

In the TV landscape, ITV saw its profits plunge by 61%, while streaming video subscriptions continue to surge.
