Digest: Vista-Backed Bid Targets Criteo; LiveRamp Launches Netflix Brand Campaign

In today’s Digest, we look at Vista and Quinti making a takeover bid for Criteo, LiveRamp launching its first brand campaign following its Publicis deal, and Outvertising searching for a new CEO after Chris Dunne steps down.

Vista-backed bid targets Criteo

Vista Equity Partners and Quinti Capital have teamed up to make a takeover offer for French ad tech company Criteo, according to people familiar with the matter. The bid, submitted in recent days, reportedly values Criteo at more than a 50% premium to its share price in recent weeks.

Financial terms of the offer have not been disclosed, and neither the bidders nor Criteo have publicly commented on the proposal.

LiveRamp launches Netflix brand campaign

LiveRamp has launched its first-ever brand campaign on connected TV, with ads running on Netflix for the next five months. The campaign positions LiveRamp as a trusted and flexible data partner for marketers, highlighting its identity, clean room and data collaboration capabilities as AI reshapes digital advertising.

The campaign emphasises that the effectiveness of AI depends on the quality, security and governance of the data behind it. As marketers increasingly adopt automated systems for planning, targeting, measurement and optimisation, LiveRamp is positioning trust and responsible data management as key advantages in an increasingly AI-driven advertising landscape.

Outvertising searches for new CEO

Outvertising has begun the search for a new volunteer chief executive officer as current CEO Chris Dunne prepares to step down after completing his three-year term later this year. During his tenure, the organisation expanded its influence within the UK advertising industry through initiatives including the Outvertising Advocacy Playbook, its mentoring programme and Outvertising Live event series.

The organisation is seeking an advertising, marketing or media leader to guide its next phase of growth and continue advancing LGBTQIA+ representation and inclusion across the sector. Outvertising’s chair, Mark Runacus, said the incoming CEO will inherit a stronger organisation while facing a changing industry landscape where brands and employers are becoming more cautious about visible inclusion efforts.
