Sparteo Appoints Former Webedia Executive Antoine Hermite as Managing Director to Drive International Growth

Sparteo, a leading ad tech and technology solutions provider for publishers and creators, announced the appointment of Antoine Hermite as managing director. Formerly deputy managing director at Webedia Group, Hermite will oversee group operations, scale the organisation, and spearhead its external growth and M&A strategy.

Over more than four years as deputy managing director and executive committee member at Webedia, Hermite oversaw a €220m (£167m) revenue portfolio and managed 1,200 employees across the media, social, ad tech, SaaS, and international business units. During his tenure, he drove the group’s artificial intelligence rollout and led a platformisation programme that scaled automated advertising revenues to over 70% of total turnover.
Having spent four years squarely within Sparteo’s core target audience, Hermite brings an acute operational understanding of the trade-offs, constraints, and friction points publishers face in monetising their assets.
Two strategic priorities: accelerating expansion and capitalising on M&A opportunities
The appointment comes during a period of strong momentum. Already profitable, Sparteo is on track to achieve approximately €70m (£52.8m) in revenue in 2026 - up nearly 50% year-over-year, with international markets generating half of total turnover - with the goal of doubling revenues within the next two to three years.
Achieving these targets rests on a two-pronged strategy:
● External growth: acquiring complementary technologies and recruiting top-tier talent to enhance the value delivered to publishers and creators.
● Operational scaling: industrialising business processes and driving international commercial expansion by establishing operational agility as a key competitive advantage.
The Strategic Committee has entrusted Hermite with this dual mandate, alongside overseeing the launch of Sparteo's US office.

Antoine Hermite's arrival follows the recent appointments of Alexandra Diez as chief people officer (formerly of Aircall), Louis-Etienne Balleydier as chief legal officer (formerly of Mirakl), and Benjamin Cassigneul as chief financial officer (formerly of Silvr).
