Overwolf Ads Expands Global Brand Partnerships Team with Senior Hires Across EMEA & US

Overwolf Ads, a world-leading ad tech gaming platform empowering brands and advertisers to reach over 113 million monthly gamers across hundreds of the world’s biggest video game titles, today (23rd April, 2026) announced continued expansion of its global Brand Partnerships team. The appointments are led by Mike Edwards as director of Brand Partnerships, EMEA, and Dennis Ronneberger as brand partnerships director for the DACH region. The hires also follow a wave of recent US appointments, reinforcing Overwolf Ads’ momentum as it scales its advertising technology empire globally.

The expansion comes on the heels of a strong year for Overwolf Ads, which saw brand partnership revenue grow 200% year-over-year as brands and agencies increased investment in gaming audiences. EMEA specifically saw 94% revenue growth year-over-year from 2024 to 2025 driven by partnerships with brands including Frijj, Lenovo, Google, Bethesda, and Logitech. The company also appointed veteran ad-tech entrepreneur Eyal Betzalel as COO to lead its programmatic push with the launch of Scalibur. Ranked by Comscore as the #2 Biggest US Gaming Property Overwolf Ads partners with leading global brands including Netflix, Amazon, Universal Pictures, Lancôme, and top media agencies such as Publicis, Havas, and dentsu.

Mike Edwards joins Overwolf Ads with over 14 years of experience in advertising, ad tech, and gaming partnerships. He most recently led Sports and Entertainment at Getty Images, driving revenue across key commercial partnerships. Previously, he held senior roles at SuperAwesome (Epic Games), leading EMEA brand partnerships across top gaming environments, and at Amazon, where he helped launch Amazon-sponsored ads, formerly Amazon Marketing Services, across Europe. As director of brand partnerships, EMEA, Edwards will lead Overwolf Ads’ regional sales team from London, helping brands and agencies engage gaming audiences through premium in-game advertising.

"Overwolf is uniquely positioned to help global brands leverage premium consumer attention through playtime across the most well-known titles, and I’m excited to build out the EMEA operation to bring that to more advertisers across Europe," said Mike Edwards, director of brand partnerships, EMEA at Overwolf Ads.

Dennis Ronneberger brings 16 years of experience in the gaming industry to Overwolf Ads, with deep expertise in ad tech, influencer marketing, and brand partnerships across the European market. A lifelong gamer, Ronneberger previously held roles at Curse (later acquired by Twitch/Amazon, and then acquired by Overwolf itself and rebranded to CurseForge), where he spent seven years building partnerships across the gaming ecosystem, as well as senior positions at Loots and SideQuest. His experience spans in-stream advertising, influencer sponsorships, and programmatic solutions across international markets including Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and beyond. As Brand Partnerships Director, Ronneberger will focus on growing Overwolf Ads’ presence in the DACH region, connecting German and European brands with Overwolf’s devoted gaming audience.

"Joining Overwolf feels like coming back to my roots," said Dennis Ronneberger, brand partnerships director at Overwolf Ads. "I’ve been in the gaming industry for two decades, and I’ve watched it evolve from LAN parties to the massive creator-driven ecosystem it is today. Overwolf is at the forefront and I’m looking forward to bringing my passion for gaming and my commercial experience to help grow the brand partnerships business in Germany."

In addition to the EMEA expansion, Overwolf Ads has also continued to scale its US team. Nick Kaplan joins as VP business development and supply growth, bringing over a decade of programmatic advertising experience across both the buy-side and sell-side, including roles at Twitter and SHE Media. The US team has also added brand partnerships directors Joanna Wietzke (formerly Bloomberg and Yelp), Jason Flynn (formerly Venatus and Warner Bros. Discovery), and Chelsea Maile (formerly Amazon and Twitch).

"The shift we’re seeing in the media landscape is undeniable. Gaming is no longer a niche add-on, but the primary destination for the next generation of consumers. This expansion is a definitive moment for Overwolf Ads as we scale our footprint to meet the massive demand we’re seeing across Europe," said Nathan Lindberg, VP global brand partnerships at Overwolf Ads. "With Mike leading our charge into EMEA, Dennis opening up the DACH market, and Nick, Joanna, Jason, and Chelsea strengthening our US operation, we have the team in place to serve the world’s biggest brands and agencies at the scale they need."
