Thrad Launches Four Native Ad Formats for LLM & AI Conversation Environments
by on 4th Jun 2026 in News

Thrad, the AI-native advertising infrastructure platform, today (4th June, 2026) announced the general availability of four distinct ad formats designed natively for LLM and AI-powered conversation environments.
The launch reflects a deliberate move away from retrofitted display formats. Rather than adapting banners or pre-roll to conversational interfaces, Thrad's formats are built for how users actually interact with AI: asking questions in the moment of intent, discovering options through follow-up dialogue, and making decisions in context.
The four formats
Card is a native ad card that appears inline within an AI response. It includes a headline, image, description, and call-to-action, positioned at the moment a user query signals intent. The sponsored messages are available on CPM and CPC pricing models, built for both brand awareness and direct response.
Prompt surfaces a branded follow-up question directly in the conversation. It reaches users early in the discovery phase, before they've narrowed down options or committed to a path. The sponsored prompts are available now on a CPM basis.
Carousel lets advertisers present multiple products within a single scrollable unit inside an AI response. It's positioned for the comparison moment, where users are actively evaluating options side by side and is available on CPM pricing.
Poll introduces interactive engagement to the format suite. Users answer a branded question directly in the conversation, generating cost-per-engagement (CPE) pricing and first-party data signals for advertisers.
The formats are served through Thrad's programmatic SSP, which connects brand advertisers to the company's growing network of AI publisher partners. Each format is optimized for a specific stage of the user journey, from initial discovery through final comparison, with pricing models aligned to advertiser goals.
"The formats we're launching today aren't ad tech solutions forced into a new medium. They're built from the ground up for how people use conversational AI. That matters because it's the difference between ads that interrupt and ads that fit." – Andrea F. Tortella, CEO and co-founder, Thrad
Thrad's format roadmap targets distinct native ad formats for LLM environments. All four aforementioned formats are available now through Thrad's advertiser platform with no minimum spend requirement on self-serve campaigns.
