Former Microsoft Research and Criteo technology leader brings deep expertise in AI, machine learning and large-scale systems as Pubstack accelerates Spark, the product at the heart of its Supply Intelligence vision.
Pubstack, the Supply Intelligence platform for digital publishers, today (17th September, 2026) announces the appointment of Yann Stadnicki as chief technology officer (CTO), strengthening its leadership team as the company enters its next phase of technology and international growth.
With a PhD in Mathematics, Stadnicki has built an international career at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data and business, spanning research, high-growth technology companies and global organisations.
He spent more than six years at Criteo, first in Paris and later in the San Francisco Bay Area. An early machine learning hire, he helped build the company’s machine learning capabilities from the ground up before moving into engineering leadership, managing distributed teams and large-scale systems processing billions of items every day.
During his time at Criteo, Stadnicki built and scaled prediction systems that contributed to a 20% increase in revenue. He later joined Microsoft Research in New York, where he worked on applied machine learning and the transition of AI research into real-world products. More recently, at Adeo, he identified more than €150m (£128.3m) in potential impact from data and technology initiatives, with €70m (£59.9m) delivered.
Stadnicki joins Pubstack at an important point in the company’s evolution as Pubstack scales Spark and advances its Supply Intelligence vision. The ambition is simple: give publishers the ability to structure and signal their inventory so buyers can better understand and value it, bringing greater decisioning power back to the sell side.
Following the launch of Spark for Publishers earlier this year, Pubstack’s next phase will focus on scaling the technology behind Spark, expanding connectivity across the advertising ecosystem, and using data and machine learning to strengthen decisioning.
Hervé Brunet, CEO of Pubstack, said: "Yann joining Pubstack is a strong signal of where we are taking the company. He combines exceptional depth in mathematics, AI and large-scale systems with something equally important to us: a proven ability to turn sophisticated technology into measurable business impact."
"With Spark, we are giving publishers access to the kind of decision infrastructure that has long existed on the buy side. Yann has exactly the combination of AI, engineering, and ad tech experience we need to scale the technology behind Spark and push its capabilities further through data and machine learning."
As CTO, Stadnicki will focus initially on scaling the technology behind Spark, expanding its connectivity across the advertising ecosystem, and using data and machine learning to strengthen decisioning for publishers.
Yann Stadnicki, CTO at Pubstack, said: "What drew me to Pubstack was the combination of the technical challenge, the team and the market. Ad tech operates at enormous scale, with billions of requests and real-time constraints, which creates genuinely difficult technology problems — but also a huge opportunity for technology to make a direct difference to the business."
"There is strong alignment around the ambition for Pubstack and real depth of ad tech expertise within the team. My focus now is on building technology that can scale with that ambition: expanding connectivity, bringing more intelligence into Spark through data and machine learning, and making the technology increasingly valuable to customers and partners as we grow. I’m excited to build what comes next."
