Shinka Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification

Shinka, an ad tech platform for CTV and DOOH mediation, announced it has achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, after completing its SOC 2 Type I audit, signalling an accelerated approach to security and compliance as the company scales globally.

The SOC 2 Type II certification, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), evaluates an organisation’s controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy over an extended period of time. Unlike SOC 2 Type I, which assesses controls at a specific point in time, SOC 2 Type II verifies that these controls are operating effectively over a sustained monitoring period.

Achieving SOC 2 Type II certification demonstrates that Shinka has implemented robust internal controls and security practices designed to safeguard customer data and ensure the reliability of its services.

"Security and trust are foundational to everything we build at Shinka. Achieving SOC 2 Type II certification reflects the maturity of our security programme and our continued commitment to protecting customer data while delivering dependable services to our customers," said Kieran Greene, founder and CEO.

The independent audit evaluated Shinka’s systems, policies, and operational processes against the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria, confirming that controls are both robust and consistently enforced.

The milestone is part of Shinka’s broader focus on building a secure, transparent infrastructure layer for the next generation of programmatic advertising.
