Beyond Zeroes & Ones: 59A London Announces Sculpture Garden Proving Data is a Creative Force
by on 9th Jul 2026 in News

59A London is proud to announce the grand opening of its pioneering Sculpture Garden on Thursday, 9th July 2026.
Breaking down the traditional barriers between mathematics and artistic expression, the public gallery serves as a physical environment designed to celebrate technology as a profound creative force.
At its core, 59A rejects the notion that technology is confined to mere strings of code or raw binary. Instead, the collection physically visualises complex real-world datasets into geometric fine art, transforming mass numbers into clean expressions of simplicity, chaos, and absolute order.
The Collection: Data, ordered
The 59A Sculpture Garden features five distinct monument installations, each mapping real economic, behavioural, and geographical datasets into structured tier frameworks:
- Sculpture 1 (Competition): A striking multi-quadrant geometric installation analysing the competitive landscape and physical retail footprint of California’s leading credit unions (including Golden 1 and Schoolsfirst), representing over 4 million members.
- Sculpture 2 (New Home Builds): A central hollowed-out ring accompanied by four cascading spheres. The piece translates 2023 US Census Bureau permit metrics tracking more than 125,000 new home builds across California’s metropolitan hubs.
- Sculpture 3 (Audience Insights): A captivating eye-like structure composed of an outer oculus, iris, and pupil nested in a square frame. It maps digital engagement behaviour and product interest across Meta platforms reaching an estimated 253 million American adults.
- Sculpture 4 (Housing Market): Featuring a floating, halved sphere hovering above a massive scooped base, this artwork charts a ten-year macroeconomic trajectory (2014-2024) of average home prices across California’s 58 counties.
- Sculpture 5 (The Custom Algorithm): The garden’s grand finale features five distinct shapes over two interlocking halves. This monumental piece physically embodies 59A’s proprietary, real-world algorithmic bidding engine —a network fusing tens of millions of datapoints from 26 unique datasets across 8 thematic categories (including macro, marketing, and consumer behaviours).
A history of creative technical expression
The Sculpture Garden is the latest instalment in 59A's rich lineage of avant-garde tech storytelling. It follows the studio’s celebrated 2022 Art Gallery Takeover, the conceptual 2024 Machine Ambassador to the United Nations message framework, and their highly anticipated 2026 children's illustrated book and animated short film, The Story of the Invisible Machine.
"We look at data and see an endless ocean of potential. Our task is to uncover the underlying patterns, finding the beautiful simplicity hidden inside raw complexity." - Adam Ray, 59A founder.
Visitor information
After Thursday, 9th July 2026, the 59A London Sculpture Garden will formally transition into a completely open and public community space. Members of the public, technology enthusiasts, and art lovers alike are warmly welcome to experience the collection first-hand.
