OpenX Appoints John Rogers as SVP of Global Publisher Development

OpenX, The Intelligent SSPTM, today (1st October, 2026) announced the appointment of John Rogers as senior vice president, global publisher development. Rogers joins from Roku, where he most recently served as director of global programmatic partnerships, bringing more than 25 years of experience across digital advertising and ad tech.
His appointment reinforces OpenX’s focus on helping publishers grow their businesses through differentiated, incremental demand. OpenXSelect is central to that approach, delivering twice the reach of traditional methods for brands while connecting publishers with more relevant buyers, helping them capture greater value from their inventory. With supply-side targeted CTV campaigns up 500% since 2022, that opportunity is especially strong in CTV, where publishers can use content data and quality signals to ensure their inventory is properly evaluated and monetised.
Rogers will lead OpenX’s publisher business development and account management teams globally, shaping publisher strategy with a focus on amplifying CTV partnerships and expanding OpenX’s live-streaming capabilities. He will also deepen relationships with existing publisher partners, helping them maximise yield and navigate a programmatic landscape increasingly shaped by AI, quality signals, and privacy regulations to achieve meaningful business outcomes.

"Working with OpenX at Roku, I saw firsthand how the platform could handle complex technical requirements while efficiently driving incremental demand," said John Rogers, SVP, global publisher development. "What attracted me to OpenX is its ability to bring publishers differentiated demand, powered by the industry's largest supply-side identity graph. OpenX’s supply-side targeting helps brands reach audiences they might otherwise miss, while helping publishers capture more value from their inventory."
OpenXSelect puts supply-side intelligence to work. The platform matches buyers with the most relevant inventory using audience, contextual, quality, and measurement signals, opening stronger monetisation paths for publishers. OpenX marketplace data from a report to be released October 15 shows 17% of campaigns included supply-side measurement in 2025, a sign that buyers now look to signals closer to the impression to tie media spend to outcomes.
That shift gives publishers a larger role in the transaction. Their data and signals now shape which campaigns find them and how that inventory performs, which draws better-matched demand and shortens the path to revenue.
"Publishers need partners whose technology translates into meaningful business outcomes," said Tyler Romasco, executive vice president, commercial at OpenX. "John understands that expectation because he has worked with us from the publisher side. His experience across supply, demand, and CTV will help us solve the biggest challenges our partners are currently facing — and build deeper relationships grounded in their growth."
