Tappx Reduces its Carbon Footprint by 18% All While Boosting its Advertising Business by 74%

Tappx, a leading ad tech company offering multi-platform digital advertising solutions, has presented its carbon footprint results for 2025—a year in which it managed to reduce its total emissions by 18% as they fell to 101 tCO₂e while at the same time increasing the volume of advertising requests processed by 74%. As a result, the company has reduced emissions per billion ad requests by 53%, which reflects a significant improvement in the efficiency of its emissions-generating activities.

The results demonstrate that the measures implemented by Tappx to enhance the efficiency of its operations are making a measurable impact on emissions reduction. The company is successfully moving forward with its decarbonisation strategy while also significantly expanding its business activity.

Technological infrastructure optimisations: the main driver behind emissions reduction

Servers continue to be the company’s main source of emissions, accounting for 57.2% of its total carbon footprint in 2025. Thus, they are also one of the key areas of focus for improvement. Over the last financial year, infrastructure-related emissions fell by 19.7% compared with 2024 and have now fallen by 45% since 2022.

These results reflect how continuous improvements in technological efficiency are helping to lower the company’s environmental impact.

Another of the most significant improvements observed during the financial year is associated with business travel. In 2025, emissions from business travel dropped by 45.5% in comparison with the previous year. This was mainly driven by a policy prioritising more sustainable modes of transport as well as minimising the number of flights.

"Sustainability as a commitment is most valuable when it leads to decisions that improve the way we operate. This report demonstrates that the measures implemented to optimise our infrastructure and processes are tangibly decreasing our environmental impact all while we continue to grow and provide our customers with the best service. We are steadfastly committed to moving even further in this direction through innovation and ongoing improvement," says Daniel Reina, CEO of Tappx.

Since it began calculating its carbon footprint in 2022, Tappx has maintained a strategy of continuous improvement based on the implementation of specific actions, accurate measurement, employee awareness programs and the use of internal metrics to reduce the impact of its operations. The 2025 results underline this commitment and reflect a substantial improvement in the efficiency of the company’s emissions-generating activities.
