Uber weighs higher delivery Hero bid?

Uber’s board convened over the weekend to consider increasing its takeover offer for Delivery Hero. The ride-hailing and delivery giant recently approached one of the German food delivery group's largest shareholders with a €38-a-share bid (£32), which would have valued the company at more than €11.5bn (£9.8bn). Following a rejection of this initial approach, the San Francisco-based firm is now deliberating whether to sweeten the deal to push the acquisition through.

Google challenges Amazon with native checkout?

Google is rapidly expanding its commerce infrastructure to allow consumers to shop from countless merchants directly within its own ecosystem. The new native checkout feature will operate across YouTube, Search, and the Gemini app. By keeping shoppers within its walled garden rather than redirecting them to external sites, Google is making a decisive play to strengthen its retail media position and take on e-commerce rival Amazon.
