Cavai Appoints Ruben Sondaar as Sales Director Benelux

Cavai, the leader in conversational advertising cloud technology, has appointed Ruben Sondaar as sales director, Benelux, following a period of rapid growth.

Ruben will be responsible for business development and sales in the Benelux region. As sales director, he brings international sales and management experience, having worked at DPG, Yieldr and SpotX in digital and programmatic advertising. He is also closely involved with the IAB in the Netherlands.

Ruben successfully built up SpotX's publishing video portfolio and was also responsible for a team of account managers which provided the daily service. Earlier this year, as chairman of the Video Task Force at IAB Netherlands, he also published its video handbook. In his new position at Cavai, Ruben will focus on accelerating the use of the industry-leading platform.

He explains: “As far as programmatic advertising is concerned, efficiency has reached an optimum on the purchasing and sales side. That is why eyes are now focused on creation. This is where the difference will be made in the coming years. In addition, the digital expertise of advertisers, agencies and publishers is growing and these companies like to be in control. Cavai’s future-facing creative cloud platform responds to these clear trends in the market.”

In recent weeks Cavai has also opened an office in the Netherlands. The Norwegian company has been expanding rapidly since its inception in 2018, with offices now in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Singapore, London and New York. On a mission to help advertisers significantly improve the performance of online display thanks to conversational ads, it currently works for clients such as VISA, Santander, HP and Unilever.
