Hivestack, the world’s largest, independent, programmatic digital-out-of-home (DOOH) ad tech company today (May 17th, 2023) announced the expansion of its multi-country partnership with Clear Channel through its latest integration with Clear Channel Italy.
Clear Channel Italy is a part of the Clear Channel Europe group, one of the world’s leading out-of-home (OOH) media companies. In Italy alone, Clear Channel owns 800 digital screens of which over 500 are stationed across the popular cities of Rome, Milan, Naples, Florence, Vicenza, Padua, Verona, Brescia, and Genoa.
Effective immediately, Clear Channel Italy’s premium DOOH inventory will be available on the Hivestack supply-side platform (SSP) for brands, agencies, and omnichannel DSP’s both within Italy and from around the world to plan, activate and measure highly targeted, relevant, and scalable campaigns via the Hivestack platform. Clear Channel inventory in this agreement generates more than 18 million Impressions per week in Italy’s busiest cities through screens on different venue types including billboards, bus shelters, key airports in Venice, Treviso and Bologna as well as urban panels.
Ilaria Calesella, VP demand Italy at Hivestack commented, “We are very excited to announce this important new partnership with Clear Channel Italy. With the integration of Clear Channel screens, Hivestack now offers buyers access to almost all programmatic DOOH inventory to reach a variety of audiences from affluent luxury shoppers and urban residents to business travelers and commuters, across some of the most premium locations in Italy. Adding Clear Channel Italy’s granular inventory to our platform enables us to offer clients with nationwide reach combined with market-leading data capabilities for a truly programmatic approach, to engage target audiences at scale and maximize revenue.”
“Clear Channel is constantly striving to create a flexible and effective product offering that fully meets the wide range of evolving clients’ needs”, stated Emanuela Cirillo, product director at Clear Channel Italy. “Our goal is to strengthen DOOH as a powerful tool in omnichannel media planning. We are proud to have partnered with Hivestack, a world-class leader in DOOH ad tech, and look forward to offering clients a way to drive added reach and strong impact.”
Digital out-of-home ad spend in Italy amounted to USD$95m (£76.1m) in 2022 with that figure set to rise to USD$115m (£92.1m) by 2025, likely powered by the data-driven targeting and measurement capabilities offered by programmatic technology.
