Today (18th August), the7stars, the UK’s largest independent agency group, has confirmed four new senior hires across the investment team. Their latest hiring spree is driven by their expanded client roster YoY which has seen the Group’s billings rise to £500m.

The investment is part of a strategic move to supercharge the delivery of more creative, integrated and effective work, alongside media partners and across all media channels. It follows on from the7stars’ recent slew of appointments that saw the agency doubling their strategy team in June.

Joining the7stars in October, Lewis Shaw assumes the role of investment managing partner to lead the newly bolstered team. Shaw, with over twenty years of experience, previously served at MGOMD for the past 16 years, most recently as chief investment officer. His mission is to steer the long-term strategic growth plan for the business and its clients through its longstanding commitment to transparency and neutrality.

Lewis Shaw, investment managing partner at the7stars said: “Sometimes an opportunity is too great to pass up, and being part of the team driving the7stars’ business to a new level of success is one of those times. I’m humbled to join such a brilliant team, blazing a trail for independent agencies and transparency, and excited to collaborate with our valued clients and trusted partners to accelerate growth.”

This month, Adam Pace also joins the7stars Group as digital investment & partnerships lead. With a wealth of commercial experience, Pace has recently focused on enhancing programmatic productivity in his roles at Fenestra and Talon OOH. He brings a comprehensive cross-channel strategic perspective from his ten years as the former chief digital officer at Omnicom.

Adam Pace, digital investment & partnerships lead at the7stars said: “All of the7stars’ work is grounded in an ethos of transparency, neutrality and creativity and this makes them a great partner for clients, media owners and technology platforms.

“There are so many interesting opportunities for clients to create more efficient targeting opportunities, generate value and drive real business outcomes in this space and I’m excited to start working with the team."

Joining Shaw and Pace is Nene Harrison, who was appointed client commercial director earlier this year. Harrison, co-founder of Eley Consulting and former head of digital media at Ebiquity, brings valuable expertise to the group.

Finally, Ian Daly, formerly head of activation at Bountiful Cow, a part of the7stars Group, and with a decade accrued at the7stars before that, has transitioned to a Group role as head of AV investment.

These new team members will collaborate with the existing team, including Michelle Sarpong, head of display, audio, and OOH activation, and Marc Bignell, who joined the7stars last year to provide strategic direction and support across both agencies’ client bases.

Jenny Biggam, founder of the7stars Group, said: “With a cohesive team of commercial, trading, and negotiation experts, we are excellently positioned to deliver innovative media partner activations across both the7stars and Bountiful Cow. Guided by an unwavering commitment to transparency, our brilliant investment team is perfectly poised to provide win-win scenarios for both our clients and media partners.”
