Silverpush, the contextual intelligence company, today (12th August, 2026) announced the release of Silverpush Contextual Podcast Segments, a new way for advertisers to reach exclusive podcast inventory on YouTube. This allows brands and agencies to activate video advertising campaigns on YouTube that are specifically delivered to the most relevant podcast content.
Powered by Silverpush’s proprietary contextual targeting, Silverpush Contextual Podcast Segments specifically target signals such as genre, hosts, themes, topics, and more for their podcast advertising plans. This enables precise ad delivery aligned with campaign goals as well as higher efficiencies when it comes to costs.
"Despite being a visual-first platform, YouTube is now the number one destination for podcast consumption and podcast discovery. In addition to audio, consumers are proving that there is an appetite to watch things like facial expressions, body language, and camaraderie among their favourite podcast hosts and guests," says David Agnew, VP of sales, Midwest. "Silverpush is recognising this big shift from audio-only podcasts. We’ve been able to curate top podcasts into new kinds of media campaigns, unlocking entirely new audiences who are highly engaged with the content. Podcast consumers are loyal, often listening to series or returning to weekly, sometimes daily episodes."
Early beta clients for Silverpush Contextual Podcast Segments have been able to target podcasts around documentaries, tech, and business, as well as sports. One leading national organisation has seen:
- 4X higher conversions compared to benchmark
- 40% higher click-through rate vs. benchmark
- 32% lower CPM cost compared to other audio advertising solutions
"We’re bringing a new layer of contextual intelligence to podcast advertising," says Mansi Matela, chief product officer at Silverpush. "Advertisers can measure podcast performance at the context-level, so we can identify which kinds of podcasts are driving the highest view-through rates, click-through rates, and more."
With a contextual inventory of approximately 10,000 total podcast channels on YouTube, advertisers can partner with Silverpush to reach listeners on YouTube across the most popular podcasts in the US, Canada, Germany, France, and select countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
