Uber reports boosted revenue for Q1 2023

Uber has reported revenue of USD$8.82bn (~£7bn) for Q1 2023, a 29% rise from the same period last year. The San Francisco-based company attributed the boost to continued demand for its ride-hailing and food delivery services. The company also increased its consumer-base, trips, and the value of transactions on its platform.

Inflection AI launches Pi chatbot

LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Google DeepMind co-founder Mustafa Suleyman have launched a new AI chatbot, adding to the inundation of generative AI products entering the market. Pi, which was launched under Hoffman and Suleyman’s start-up Inflection AI, uses generative AI to converse with users. According to Suleyman, the bot has been developed to balance humour and creativity with political correctness.
