Covatic Launches Smart Campaigns

Covatic, the audience solutions company for publishers and broadcasters, today (18th August, 2026) announced the launch of Covatic Smart Campaigns, a publisher-controlled optimisation engine that lets publishers reshape campaign targeting while campaigns are still live, optimising directly for the advertiser’s business outcomes: sales, purchases, sign-ups and visits.

Most audio, CTV, and display campaigns lock their audience in at launch. If targeting is poor, or stops performing mid-flight, publishers have no mechanism to correct it, and advertiser spend continues to flow to people who never convert. Advertisers increasingly want proof of business outcome, not reach and frequency after the fact.

Smart Campaigns uses AI-powered evolutionary algorithms and real-time attribution data to compare exposed and unexposed audiences across every observable segment, then grades each one and recommends which to add or remove. Recommendations refresh daily or weekly, and the publisher's own operations team reviews and applies each one, so the loop stays publisher-controlled rather than fire-and-forget. Campaigns improve with every round of optimisation, delivering directly against the outcomes advertisers care about: sales, purchases, sign-ups, visits, and leads. That optimised audience compounds across campaigns, so each renewal with the same advertiser starts from a higher-performing base.

Across live Smart Campaigns deployments between April and July 2026, aggregated conversion-rate uplift by advertiser vertical has run at 60% for retail, 59% for B2B, 23 per cent for auto and 6% for charity, anonymised at advertiser level.

Daniel Pike, CPO at Covatic, said: "Advertising is ultimately about outcomes. Covatic Smart Campaigns is built to deliver them. The engine compares exposed and unexposed audiences on live campaigns, identifies which segments are actually driving conversions, and hands those recommendations to the publisher's operations team to apply. Every campaign leaves the audience sharper than the one before, which is exactly what a publisher wants for their advertisers. That is how outcome-based advertising should work."

Smart Campaigns is live today with publishers and operators in audio, and the underlying technology applies across audio, CTV, and display. Optimised audiences surface as standard key-values in the publisher's ad server, working alongside Google Ad Manager, AdsWizz, FreeWheel, and SpringServe with no new tooling required.
